Losing my edge

Over here at JSB, we like to think we are always the smartest kid in the room.

For example, if someone was to wonder who the architects of the Bush administration's foreign policy might be I'd fire back a "Neocons" with jeopardy-buzzer aplomb.

Little did I know, I was only half way there. It turns out the official term is
Straussian Neocons. Most upsetting is I probably knew that already but, for whatever reason, hadn't put it together in a neat, easily accessible verbal package.

It's embarrassing, to think back to all the times I dropped the neocon, naked.

Still, big ups to
Leo Strauss. What a journey. Germany. England. The United States. Adjective.

Most people think
Heidegger is a blimp and Hegel a Senator from Nebraska or Oklahoma.

Strauss's ascent into the lexicon has been down-right
Nietzschian -- but without all the pronunciation baggage that goes with that.

Update. Certain quarter's have found the name dropping in this post to be unnecessarily pretentious. Alright, mea culpa, I know almost nothing about these philosophers. I just know they probably, really existed.
