The greatest child soldiers I've never heard of

That's a photo of Johnny and Luther Htoo, circa 1999. Back then the twins were the 12 year-old commanders of a separatist army in Myanmar, which is the same place as Burma.

The cigarette and receding hairline do make one of the twins look suspiciously mature. That must be Johnny, who could allegedly turn into an old man and back. It had something to do with a river.

Both twins could kill a man by pointing their rifle at the ground and concentrating really hard. Remember, this was years before it was revealed
Chuck Norris and Vin Diesel had similar powers.

And, unlike those glamour boys, these real-life rebels used their super-natural abilities (and faithful army) to take over hospitals and terrorize the countryside.

They were captured in 2001 and sent to Thailand, long the depot for exiled adolescence revolutionaries.

One of them escaped back to Myanmar, no one is sure when, but he was
recaptured today. The nation of Myanmar breathed a sigh of relief.

I'm bummed I'd never heard of the pint-sized dynamos until today. I wish I could go back to 1999 and follow their exploits as they unfolded.

I would also buy a lot of real estate.
