Cincinnati's shame

When I used to think of Cincinnati, which was not very often, I thought of the Jerry Springers, the Larry Flynts, the Pete Roses, the 2006 Cincinnati Bengals and the staff of radio station WKRP. What a fabulous collection of perverts, smut peddlers, degenerate gamblers, criminals and incompetents -- none of whom could have made it a day in proper society, but all of whom were able to excel in the hustle and bustle of America’s first western boomtown.

In proof one man can make a difference, rubber-armed Cincinnati mayor Mark Mallory’s opening day first pitch debacle, seen widely on the Internet, has completely changed my opinion of the Queen City. Now I’m just like yuck.
