Kevin Federline has a job

If you asked me how slow it has been today, I'd respond that it has been so slow gossip clearinghouse TMZ.com ran a Buzz Aldrin item. If you asked me again how slow it has been today, I'd tell you Drudge has banner headlined a cat fight between Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama so completely imagined that the Internet provocateur himself isn't even pretending to believe the story he created is remotely true.

But we can't blame the season for America's fascination with all subjects involving Kevin Federline and any scrap of gainful employment, as it has happened before.

I guess Kevin Federline getting a job -- if a stunt casting guest star spot on a television show no one has ever heard of counts as such -- appeals to people in the same didn't-see-that-one-coming way a duck riding a bicycle would cause a stir.

But is it fair that we view Federline as America's foremost idler? Knowing what we know now, being married to Britney Spears is something I'd never want to do -- even though the compensation is quite handsome. Which, as far as I'm concerned, puts Federline's resume on par with that of an actuary's.

Hey dude. Cool blog. You're really talented, and I love reading your stuff. Why not become a journalist? News agencies could use your unique perspective and would value your insight, and you'd get more exposure. I imagine you enjoy the freedom freelancing gives you, but I think lots of people would enjoy hearing your perspective who wouldn't find it on the blog.
Best of Luck!
