Anway, most homes get crappy gas mileage

As a result of the subprime implosion, which has been rocking the financial markets and the poor and gullible, now many homes in Detroit cost less than the cars the city is famous for producing.

This is the same Detroit that Tim Walberg, a congressman from upstate Michigan, compared to Iraq earlier this week. An analogy which has been emphatically disputed by Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, among others.

Since I've haven't been to Detroit or Iraq lately (and, if I were to guess, neither has Walberg) I can't comment on who is in the right.

But I can say this: If you already live in a perfectly good car, moving to a home in Detroit just to save cash probably isn't the world's greatest idea.
